Citroen has launched a new trim level for the C3, C3 Aircross and C5 Aircross called C-Series, grouping the most popular options packages together and equipping them as standard.
The new three models are aimed mainly at online buyers – although Citroen says that all three will also be available to purchase directly from its dealer network.

Prices for the new C3 C-Series start from £13,980. standard equipment includes 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, a contrasting Onyx Black roofing system and rear privacy glass. The hatchback is also painted in Citroen’s Soft Sand metallic as standard, although buyers can choose from a even more four finishes for between £275 and £545 extra.

Inside, the C3 C-Series features automatic air conditioning and a seven-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. safety and chauffeur support equipment such as lane departure warning, cruise control, a traffic sign recognition system and rear parking sensors are also included.

The C3 C-Series is powered by PSA’s entry-level 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, which has an output of 82bhp and 118Nm of torque. It’s mated to a five-speed gearbox as standard and returns claimed WLTP fuel economy figures of between 46.1 and 51.3mpg.
The Citroen C3 Aircross C-Series is priced from £17,000 and it features broadly the same equipment as the C3 hatchback. Tweaks include a soft-touch dashboard, graphite grey upholstery, automatic lights, automatic air conditioning and some chrome trim for the cabin.
Its engine is also slightly much more powerful – it’s a turbocharged version of the C3’s powertrain, which generates 109bhp and 205Nm of torque. It also gets a six-speed manual gearbox as standard, but features the same economy figures as the less powerful unit.
Finally, the new Citroen C5 Aircross C-Series has a starting price of £25,755. It’s based on the car’s existing shine specification, but adds a host of extra equipment including 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, rear privacy glass and chrome trim for the exhaust cutout.
Inside, buyers get voice recognition, a pair of USB ports and three years of TomTom live traffic updates, along with a distinct set of “C-Series” branded floor mats. There’s some extra safety equipment, too, such as an active safety brake, a reversing video camera and all-round parking sensors.
